Players who are into the online mode of "Bloodborne" will have to be content in playing offline for a few hours on Monday, as there is a planned maintenance check on the said day. The scheduled maintenance will take place on July 13 from 2-7 a.m. EDT (6-11 a.m. GMT; 12--5 a.m. MDT; 1-6 a.m. CDT; or from 11 p.m. PDT on June 12 to 4 a.m. the following day).

Aside from checking for bugs and glitches during the downtime, the maintenance check will also be done to prepare for an upcoming update, patch 1.05.

According to the announcement from Sony PlayStation Japan, the upcoming update will bring improvements and fixes to both performance and gameplay. One of the most noted additions in the new patch will be a follow-up to a new feature introduced in the previous update.

In the 1.04 patch rolled out last month, a new feature was introduced to the multiplayer battle mode for the game. It allows players to play together regardless of their level as long as they use a password to connect to one another.

The upcoming patch 1.05 will improve on the added feature. For online matches, if the levels between the host and the guests in a password-protected battle is large, the system will automatically adjust the guest's stats to match the skill set and level of the host. This auto-adjust system will make it possible for all players in password-protected matches to fight fair and square regardless of their levels.

In addition, the upcoming update will also introduce another password-related feature to players. When a player uses the Beckoning Bell or Small Resonant Bell while using a password, it will be clearly indicated that a password is in use.
