'BloodBorne' release date pushed back to March 2015; Sony explains why

Just as expected by the fans of the game, the release of the highly anticipated "BloodBorne" video game has been moved to a later date. It was initially slated for a Feb. 6 rollout, but yesterday, Sony and From Software officially announced the delay, reports iDigitalTimes.

Director Hidetaka Miyazuki's participation in the game is one of the things that gaming fans were looking forward to. So, many are pretty bummed out about the news, or, the fact that their expectations have indeed come true. The development team of "BloodBorne" is still not ready to release the game on the said date, so they had to move it at a later date.

Nevertheless, there are a couple of good news.

The first is that Sony and From Software already gave the date for the release. Hence, gaming fans won't be kept in the dark on this one. The release date has now been moved to March 24, which is just a six-week delay from the original release date. That's really not so bad at all.

The second good news is that the delay is due to the development team adding finishing touches to the game. According to the PlayStation Blog, one of the reasons for the delay is because the developers are adding details based on the suggestions and feedback from the fans who participated in the networks tests. While there is no exact information as to what will be added or changed, it is still very good to know that fans' comments and suggestions are not taken lightly.

Also in the blog post by PlayStation, it shouldn't be such a miserable wait since there will be a meaningful news update coming in December. This should be an early Christmas treat to "BloodBorne" fans as Sony and From Software will make an announcement on the Game Awards or PlayStation Experience Convention around the first week of December.

"BloodBorne" is hitting shelves on March 24, 2015 and every fan can expect the game to be better than ever, that's thanks to the fans, too.
