Sony's critically acclaimed "Bloodborne" action role-playing game will finally get an expansion pack, according to game producer Masaaki Yamagiwa. The game producer talked to Gamespot about the planned DLC release titled "Bloodborne: The Old Hunters" during the recently concluded 2015 Tokyo Game Show.

Yamagiwa explained that the demo that they showed during this year's TGS event is just a small part of the entire content of the upcoming DLC. He also said that they have tweaked several items in the demo, which means that it will be slightly different and harder in the actual game. 

The game's executive producer also mentioned that players can only access the downloaded expansion pack upon reaching a specific point in the story, which means that they cannot immediately access the DLC by starting a new game. 

Yamagiwa also mentioned that "Bloodborne: The Old Hunters" centers on the expansion of the original game's story and strategies that can be used in battle. It means that it will bring added weapons and other items in the game.

To understand the plot of the upcoming DLC, Yamagiwa stated that the Old Hunters are trapped inside a nightmare. He also talked about one of the Old Hunters mentioned in the main story.

He said, "Ludwig is a character who's mentioned in the main story. He is one of the Hunters trapped in this world. In that sense, it is an expansion of the story and you will learn more of the lore and mythos of Yharnam in the process." 

"Bloodborne" was first released in March 2015 exclusively for the PlayStation 4. It was developed by FromSoftware Games and directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. The action role-playing game centers on the adventures of the playable character known as the Hunter inside the fictional broken-down city called Yharman. 

The "Bloodborne: The Old Hunters" DLC is expected to come out on Nov. 24 and for $19.99.
