The popular CBS police drama "Blue Bloods" is back with a fresh episode entitled "Burning Bridges."

A lot of things have happened the last time the show aired.  In the episode "Forgive and Forget," shown last Friday, Oct. 3, fans saw Erin (Bridget Moynahan) acquiring a big share of the episode's conflict.

Erin and her brother Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) got into a twisty conflict about the case of a young girl named Isabelle being opened again as a homicide case, wherein the name of a changed felon is again dragged along after eight years. And Danny was insistent in prosecuting the man, which started the argument of the two. In the same episode, Erin went through an argument with Bobby (Holt McCallany) regarding his imminent career opportunity.

Meanwhile the 45-minute episode also showed Officer Walsh's (Tonya Glanz) move to testify against her own partner, which became an idea no one finds to be very pleasant.

The upcoming episode will reveal how the siblings end the feud from the previous episode. Also, partners Baez and Danny are bound to get new yet temporary associates following the conflict of another officer refusing to be joined by his partner.

Eddie (Vanessa Ray) and Jamie (Will Estes), on the other hand, will be seen to devise schemes to snatch a collar away from a self-important officer whom they are obviously not very fond of. One of the episode's most impacting bits would come from the committed Catholic Frank (Tom Selleck) as he risks his relationship with his long-term cohort, the Archdiocese of the city, upon speaking about equality issues in the police unit.

Kevin O'Donnell, Danny McCarthy, Jerrie Demarest, and Frank Pando are among the guests to appear in the episode. All that and more police action will be witnessed in the third episode of the season, airing on Oct. 10.

A 20-second preview for the third episode is also available.
