'Blue Bloods' season 7 spoilers, premiere: Danny to be arrested in connection with killing of Thomas Wilder?

Blue Bloods season 7 will start airing on Sept. 23 on CBS.facebook.com/CBSBlueBloods

In less than a month, "Blue Bloods" season 7 will be back on air and fans can't help but wonder if Detective Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) will be arrested for murder or he will argue that the act was self-defense when he shot Thomas Wilder (Louis Cancelmi), the serial killer.

The upcoming season is said to put Danny to the test in relation to the events that happened last season. New evidence will be brought in by Michael Lewis (Michael Imperioli) from the Attorney General's office, which would implicate Danny for the death of Wilder. Lewis will try to prove that the incident is not an act of self-defense, but rather a pre-meditated murder, Spoiler TV said.

The synopsis for the upcoming episode says, "Danny's world is turned upside down when Michael Lewis (guest star Michael Imperioli) from the Attorney General's office obtains new evidence against Danny in the self-defense shooting case of Thomas Wilder. Also, Jamie and Eddie respond to a car crash involving a drunk driver who is a public figure, and Frank is asked by Grace Edwards (guest star Lori Loughlin), the wife of a slain police officer, to keep her only son out of the police force."

Meanwhile, Tom Selleck will be back to reprise his role as Police Commissioner Frank Reagan. Reagan submitted his resignation back in season 6's finale, which has been turned down.

Frank will also be dealing with the wife of a slain officer, Grace Edwards (Lori Loughlin). Edwards is asking the commissioner to convince her son not to be a police officer, so he will not end up just like his father.

As expected, fans will immediately see Jamie (Will Estes) and Eddie (Vanessa Ray) back in action. The duo will respond to an emergency call with regards to a car crash that involves a drunk driver, who is also a publicly known person.

"Blue Bloods" season 7 will start airing on Friday, Sept. 23 on CBS.
