Bobbi Kristina Brown condition news: Tyler Perry asks people to 'show some decency and respect'

Last week, Tyler Perry penned an open letter urging fans and the media to stop speculating about Bobbi Kristina Brown's health. The 45-year old filmmaker — who was also a close friend of the 22-year old's late mother, Whitney Houston — took to his Facebook page on Friday, July 17, to write about his friend and Bobbi Kristina, who remains in hospice care.

Perry started off his post by writing about Houston, saying, "This morning I woke up with Whitney on my mind. I couldn't help but think about all that she must have dreamed for her child. I know this was not her dream."

The "Gone Girl" star called out the rumors surrounding the Brown and Houston families, particularly the most recent rumor saying that the young woman has died. He said that what makes it more difficult for the people who love both Whitney and Bobbi Kristina is "the blatant disrespect, lies, and ignorance that are rapidly printed in this awful time."

"For some reason, it has become human nature in our society to look for, seek out, and celebrate darkness, glory in tragedy, and enjoy reading and reporting it," he continued, adding that it makes him sad that some media outlets would stop at nothing to be the first to report "something awful."

The actor, writer, and producer then told his 12 million followers that Bobbi Kristina is still here.

"They find it OK to speak death unto those who are still alive," he wrote. "May I ask you to all to please show decency and respect?"

He pointed out that aside from the Brown and Houston families, there are other families out there who are grieving the loss of their loved ones.

"It's heartbreaking to think that even in a time like this, this child is still not allowed peace," Perry added.

Bobbi Kristina's health condition continued to deteriorate since she was found face down in a bathtub in her Atlanta home last January. Late last month, she was moved to hospice care.

This is not the first time that Perry has lent his support to the Brown family. As previously reported, Perry offered his private plane to Bobbi Kristina's father, Bobby Brown, as soon as he heard the news of the 22-year old's hospitalization. On June 28, he was spotted visiting the young woman at the hospice.
