The Brown family has issued a statement blasting false media reports and thanking fans for praying for Bobbi Kristina on Tuesday.

The statement was issued through the family's attorney, Christopher Brown, and included a warning to those publishing unsubstantiated reports as fact.

"We support the candlelight vigil for Bobbi Kristina," the statement began, according to Us Weekly. "The Brown family is amazed by the love and support from all that attended," he said of a vigil heald Monday.

"However, the false reports that continue to appear in print and on the Internet are egregious, false, and will be dealt with at an appropriate time," he continued.

"In particular, the false reporting of TMZ, The National Enquirer, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, and the Daily Mail (UK) citing police sources, family sources, and Bobby Brown himself, will receive my attention.

"The desire to be 'first' has clouded the judgment of many reporters as they forgo accuracy. This is a criminal investigation and the integrity of that process requires silence."

The most recent news updates included rumours that the family had already taken the 21-year-old off life support, or that she would be taken off life support on Wednesday, the anniversary of her mother, Whitney Houston's death.

Bobby Brown quelled those rumors in an addendum to the attorney's statement.

"We continue to request privacy in this matter," the R&B singer said. "We thank everyone that supported the vigil for Bobbi Kristina. God is hearing our prayers."

Bobbi Kristina's cousin, Shayne Brown, told "Entertainment Tonight" that she is "getting better," and asked fans to "continue to pray" for her.

Bobbi Kristina was found face-down in a bathtub at her home in Roswell, Georgia on January 31. She was revived by CPR, and was placed in a medically-induced coma.

Reports say Bobbi Kristina was found by a friend, Max Lomas, and that life-saving measures were begun by her boyfriend, Nick Gordon. Brown and Gordon presented themselves as a married couple, but were never legally married.
