'Boku No Hero Academia' release date news: Fans wait for season 3 premiere date, chapter 138 plot

Fans of the animated manga series "My Hero Academia" or "Boku No Hero Academia" are excited to hear more updates about the official release date of season 3. The second season ended on Sept. 30 with a total of 26 episodes including a recap of season 1. There had already been a confirmation for season 3 and fans are hoping for 25 episodes.

The anime blog YonkouProductions posted a picture on of the manga series on Twitter with the caption "My Hero Academia Season 3 Announcement."

Despite reading the chapters of the manga series, many fans are still eager to see the animated TV adaptation. Production for season 3 has reportedly already commenced. The first episode of season 3 is believed to air in 2018.

The manga series version has already published 137 chapters so far, and the last episode of the TV adaptation's season 2 was chapter 69. 

Chapter 137 ended with Izuku Midoriya, Shota Aizawa, Eijiro Kirishima, Ochaco Uraraka, Tsuyu Asui, Fatgum, Nejire Hado, Mirio Togata, and Tamaki Amajiki positioned in front of the "Eight Precepts of Death's" headquarters. Fans are expecting an all-out battle between the heroes and the yakuza villain group in the coming chapters, especially 138 and 139. Chapter 138 will be released on Nov. 2.

There were a lot of turning points in the manga series, including the introduction of new characters. All Might's former sidekick, Sir NightEye, already made his debut in chapter 124. The top candidate to inherit All Might's quirk, One for All, was already introduced in chapter 121 and he is one of U.A. High School's best students, Mirio Togata.

Season 2 of the animated series received high ratings from fans and critics. One of the best episodes of the second season, as deemed by many viewers, is episode 10 "Shoto Todoroki: Origin." It received a perfect score of 10 out of 10 from IGN.

Director Kenji Nagasaki and anime studio Bones are expected to return for season 3.
