Are fans of James Bond (Daniel Craig) ready to see him in space? The franchise could be borrowing the technology from today as it teams up with Tesla and Space X CEO Elon Musk. Reports have surfaced that the innovator might be building a space rocket for Agent 007 that will be used in "Bond 25."

Musk is reportedly developing a technologically-advanced vehicle for the upcoming "Bond" installment and lead star Craig is on board with it. "Bond 25" will be fashioned with a lot of futuristic elements, that's why it would make sense for Musk to lend a hand in the production.

A source close to the production team revealed, "Bond needs to keep up with the times and will be looking into Elon Musk's world — spacecraft, planes that can fly across the earth in an hour, cars turning into submarines. That's what we need to include now."

Musk is also a Bond fan, owning memorabilia pieces from the movie "The Spy Who Loved Me." The CEO originally wanted to turn Bond's Lotus Esprit vehicle into a submarine but later on found out that the car's design was not suitable to be turned into such.

Elsewhere, reports have it that Craig wants Monica Bellucci to reprise her role for the "Bond 25" project. The Italian superstar appeared in 2015's "Spectre" playing the role of Lucia Sciarra but only had a short screen time.

The actor wants Bellucci to have a bigger participation in the next Bond project. Though, it's still not clear whether Bellucci is in negotiations with the producers to come on board with production beginning next year.

"Bond 25" will Craig's fifth time to play the British spy. Earlier this year, he made the announcement that he wouldn't be coming back to reprise his iconic role but the actor later changed his mind as "Bond 25" is milestone project for the film franchise.

No director has been attached to helm the project but Craig allegedly wants Denis Villeneuve to direct it. The director, however, said that he cannot talk about it but added that it would be a big pleasure to work on it.
