"Bones" season 11 will begin with Booth (David Boreanaz) missing but the rest of the season will involve him and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) welcoming a new member to their family. According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, their son will be introduced in the new season and will be an addition to their daughter Christine (Sunnie Pelant).

"I won't say a name, but Brennan is going to have a boy and we're going to have fun with her as a mom," explained executive producer Michael Peterson. "Brennan is going to become the homeroom mom for Christine, which is just very fun for us - the stories about what it's like to have Brennan be involved in school in that way."

Deschanel is a mother of two boys and as seen on the series, both of her pregnancies were written into the show's plot and her character. The actress exclaimed that she is excited about the addition of the new baby to "Bones" but also explained that it will drastically alter the family dynamics for Booth, Brennan and Christine.

She continued to explain that for a time, the first child feels as though they are the center of the universe but will quickly have to learn to share the spotlight when a sibling is born. The parents need to learn how to juggle the needs and activities for both children and hints that this dynamic will be a part of the storylines in "Bones" season 11.

"Bones" season 11 will feature a six-month time-jump between its premiere and the season 10 finale, where Booth and Brennan decided to leave the FBI and Jeffersonian. The two have moved on to a new town and have taken new jobs but a murder "unlike any other" brings them back to the fold, with Booth disappearing in the season 11 premiere.

Kim Raver will be guest starring in the first two episodes, as Brennan and the team hunt for Booth.

"Bones" season 11 premieres at 8 p.m. on Oct. 1.
