In the next episode of "Bones," titled "High Treason in the Holiday Season," the team will be preparing for their Thanksgiving celebration while investigating a high-stakes case, according to the official synopsis posted on TV.com.

The synopsis states that the team will tackle the murder of a known political journalist who recently published an article that exposed corruption within the NSA. Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) will start getting paranoid as the investigation continues, his conspiracy theories sinking in, as the rest of the team realize that their every move is being watched.

Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will be planning a surprise for Booth (David Boreanaz), which is highly speculated to be a part of the big Thanksgiving celebration seen in the promotional trailer The rest of the episode may focus on the team spending Thanksgiving evening together.

As stated in a report from Cartermatt, fans may be delighted to have an episode that puts the spotlight on Hodgins this time around. His conspiracy theories fit right into the nature of the case and his paranoia may be played for laughs for some time before things get serious.

Given that the episode will focus on the nature of Thanksgiving, Brennan is heard explaining "Human and turkey tissue share remarkably similar texture" while Aubrey (John Boyd) is heard saying he'd rather eat at a diner if the turkey isn't a real turkey.

The episode is said to give the audience a much-needed look at the crew outside of work. According to Cartermatt, this episode will be a good opportunity to see the team take some steam off and just do things that the audience can relate to.
