'Bones' season 10: 'Everyone's life is changing,' says producer

"Bones" executive producer Stephen Nathan spilled the beans on what fans should expect in the 10th season of the crime TV series.

Stephen Nathan was asked by TV Guide what fans could expect in the upcoming season of Bones. He said that the next season will open with Booth in custody as he will be waiting in jail for his trial. He described that Booth will be incarcerated with the criminals, which is not a dream for a law enforcement officer.

Also, he said that the next season is about evolution. "I think we want to see an evolution in Season 10. Everyone has those times when they reevaluate their lives, or where they might want to take a different path or do what they've been doing in a different way. I think everybody has become very secure and comfortable in their situation, and life is not always that kind," Nathan said.

"So, I think there will be new challenges for Season 10 that have the potential to upset the apple cart. Everyone's life is changing. Everybody is going to be evolving, It's a time in people's lives where they go, 'Let me find out what it is I really want and how I can be most valuable.' That's what we're drawing from for Season 10," he quickly added.

Fans could also expect a new setting after Booth and Brennan's house was pretty much destroyed during the firefight. According to Nathan, "If it were me, I would really not want to go back. That house has some bad memories at this point. It had some good memories, and then they were destroyed. That's another thing which reaffirms Brennan's commitment to shutting down whoever did this to them."

Part of the new challenges that the characters have to face next season is resolving the conspiracy that was built up in the previous season. Nathan described the situation like "peeling an onion". Thus, waiting fans can expect exciting plot twists and revelations when "Bones" return for its 10th season.
