Now that the first half of the FOX series "Bones" season 11 has concluded, fans can't wait to know what will happen next and find out how the events from the midseason finale will affect the show when it returns.

Luckily, co-showrunner John Collier was able to share some of the things that fans should expect from "Bones" when it returns for its second half episodes.

The midseason finale of "Bones" season 11 left some of the core characters seriously injured, with Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) partially disabled. Nevertheless, all is well for all them — at least they are all alive.

But now that Hodgins can't feel his legs and realizes how important his relationship with Angela (Michaela Conlin) is, what's next for them? How will the finale's catastrophic events also affect Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel)?

In Collier's interview with TV Line's Michael Ausiello, it was revealed that Hodgins has a "good chance he will never walk again." However, Collier made it clear that Hodgins' possibility of walking again is "in the cards" but it will be a tough journey.

It appears that the finale season focused more on Hodgins, but Collier disagreed and insisted that the storyline is more focused on Hodgins and Angela. The show wants to test the couple's relationship and wounding Hodgins was the best approach.

Collier also shared Brennan and Booth's future in season 11B. The showrunner hinted that there will be an "external force" that will shake up the couple. In addition, Collier also revealed that the power couple will be in "harm's way."

Other hints from Collier include Aubrey (John Boyd) going into a relationship and Sara Rue's Karen staying for only two more episodes.

As for "Bones" getting another season after this current one, Collier only hopes that the show would keep going.

A release date for the second half of "Bones" season 11 has not been announced, but the showrunner said that fans should expect the show's return either in March or April 2016.
