It has been a few months after the announcement, and fans are starting to worry about the game's development since there have been no updates or sneak peeks at all for the title.

Fans are starting to question whether or not there is progress for "Borderlands 3" since the quietness of the game's developer might mean that the game could have been scrapped for good. Another possible character to be featured on the new "Borderlands" game will be Scooter from the "Tales from the Borderlands" game. After all, some rumors say that Gearbox previously hinted at this, but it is still undecided due to his fate in "Tales from the Borderlands."
