'Boruto: Naruto Next Generations' Episode 39 release date, spoilers: Anime series to focus on the backstory of Mitsuki
"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" is about to enter a new arc as the young students of Konoha have already graduated from the ninja academy. A new set of Genin teams was created, with the anime series' titular character being paired with Sarada and Mitsuki, under the supervision of Konohamaru. In the upcoming episode 39, the fans will get to learn more about Boruto's teammate, explaining his mysterious origin and how he ended up under the care of Orochimaru.
The 39th episode of "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" is titled "The Path Illuminated by the Full Moon," which will reveal the very interesting backstory of Orochimaru's son. According to Otakukart, the young ninja will wake up with no memories of his past, finding himself in the laboratory of the legendary Sannin. From here, the viewers will know about Mitsuki's main objective in the Leaf Village, knowing that he came from the Village of the Hidden Sound. It is Orochimaru who will tell Mitsuki about his new mission, which leads him into staying in Konoha for the meantime.
"Mitsuki was originally from another village, the Village of the Hidden Sound. But since meeting with Boruto and the others, Mitsuki has decided that he will now remain at the Village of the Hidden Leaf and become a ninja. In the past, Mitsuki has had his memory taken away from him, and had lost his identity, along with what he wants to achieve in life, only to awaken in an unfamiliar laboratory," the official synposis states.
"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 39 will show another side of Orochimaru when it comes to conducting his experiments. The character became infamous in the original "Naruto" series due to his aim to achieve immortality using hundreds of labrats. However, in the "Boruto" spin-off, Orochimaru has formed a genuine bond towards one of his creations, which is none other than Mitsuki. According to reports, the upcoming episode will also feature Mitsuki's older brother that was not seen in the first "Boruto" film.
"Boruto: Naruto Next Generations" episode 39 will be released in Japan on December 27th.
