Since the village chief already passed away, Kiri is the current head of the village. Spoilers reveal that Kiri will be kidnapped by other ninjas. This will shift their mission from merely repelling bandits to rescuing Kiri.

In another news, fans are wondering if the next arc, which is about the Chunin Exams, will keep one key plot point. Boruto will train under Sasuke to impress his father Naruto. But Boruto will be hesitant to join the exams. However, he will change his mind when he is talked into cheating using the chakra technology.
