Entertainment company Viz Media and film distributor Eleven Arts recently announced that "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will be screened in 52 additional cities when the film is released in the US early next month.

According to Anime News Network, the additional theater venues will bring the box-office anime film to more than 100 US cities, including Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Dallas, as well as in nine major Canadian cities.

The highly anticipated US release of the most successful installment in the "Naruto" film franchise was first released in Japan on Aug. 7. It has earned ¥2.54 billion, or $20.5 million.

The San Francisco-based film distributor first announced that "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will be released on Oct. 7, but it was recently changed to Oct. 10 to bring the film to a wider North American audience.

Production of "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" was personally supervised by Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of the best-selling "Naruto" manga series. He is the executive producer, screenwriter and character designer of the movie. The film was directed by Hiroyuki Yamashita.

The plot of the movie focuses on the legendary ninja Naruto Uzumaki and his son Boruto, who cannot understand his father's responsibilities as the 7th Hokage to protect the Hidden Leaf Village. Boruto believes that the job is only taking his father's time away from him.

Naruto's former rival Sasuke has decided to take Boruto under his wing to train him as a ninja. Meanwhile, Sasuke's daughter Sarada trains with Boruto to become a Hokage. But despite their never-ending bantering and constant fights, Boruto still feels the need to impress Sarada all the time.

But Sasuke sensed that a big danger lies ahead. He tried to warn Naruto about it, but it seems like his efforts have come a little too late when Momoshiki and Kinshiki appear to ambush Naruto with the Rinnegan. The petrified Boruto is frozen in fear after seeing the enemies attack his father.

The list of the additional cities where "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will be shown is posted on this site.
