The Boston Celtics are no doubt back to being playoff contenders and are thriving, but one player is reportedly unhappy with his contract with the team.  

According to a report by The Boston Globe, Celtics guard Avery Bradley switched agents and is displeased with his current pact with the team after the Milwaukee Bucks' Khris Middleton (five years, $70 million), Utah Jazz's Gordon Hayward (four years, $61 million), and Cleveland Cavaliers' Tristan Thompson (five years, $82 million) received massive extension deals. 

The report mentioned that because of these deals, Bradley's four-year, $32 million contract with Boston, which was signed in 2014, appears to be a bargain, especially with the salary cap expected to increase big time next season when the National Basketball Association's (NBA) new television deals kick in. 

But according to CBS Sports, there is nothing much Bradley can do since he is still signed for two more years under the existing deal. 

The best the 25-year-old can do, according to the report, is to renegotiate the last year of his contract, add more years to it to get more money, which is unlikely to happen. 

For now, it seems like Bradley will have to live with his current contract and wait until he becomes a free agent before setting up a brand new deal with Boston. 

Bradley will surely get a new and much lucrative contract once his present one expires since he improved from a defensive specialist to a complete player. 

The former member of the Texas Longhorns is one of the Celtics' leading scorers, averaging 14.8 points per game with 2.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.6 steals. 

Boston is currently fifth in the Eastern Conference standings with a 25–21 record and is currently on a three-game winning streak. 

The success of the franchise last season and this season is attributed to its head coach, Brad Stevens, and young core, which includes Bradley.
