A Manny Pacquiao vs. Vasyl Lomachenko fight is certainly a fight worth watching, but fans should not expect it to happen anytime soon.

This was after the eight-division world champion stirred the boxing community earlier in this week when he said that he is very much interested in fighting the Ukranian sensation, who recently outclassed Cuban Guillermo Rigondeaux so badly that he had no choice but to surrender. Pacquiao even claimed that talks for the potential superfight are already taking place.

"There are negotiations now about the No. 1 pound-for-pound, which is Lomachenko," Pacquiao told Filipino media company ABS-CBN. "There are still talks on the weight, reducing the weight."

Talks of negotiations, however, were immediately shot down by Lomachenko's manager, Egis Klimas. who called the match "insane" due to the huge difference in weight between the two fighters.

"No, we are not fighting Pacquiao. Manny Pacquiao is calling out Lomachenko, who is three weight classes down the scale from him. Manny Pacquiao is 147 pounds and he's calling out Lomachenko, who is 130 pounds. That's insane," Klimas said in an interview by ESPN.

Pacquiao, who is already 39 years old has no intention of retiring at the moment. He looks to prove that he still has a lot of fight left in him and he wants to do this by defeating the 30-year-old Lomachenko, who is currently ranks third in Ring Magazine's pound for pound list.

Klimas does not feel that this is a good Idea, though, and he added that in spite of Pacquiao's legendary status, Lomachenko has very little to gain by conquering the former pound for pound king.

"Manny is legendary and a very respectful fighter, but he is non-active. He is done and Loma won't take advantage of it just beating a legend to get his name," he said.
