Last year, more than 20 celebrity couples called it quits and 2015 was immediately dubbed the Year of Celebrity Breakups.

Among those who ended their marriage were Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, and David and Yolanda Foster. But this year, another power couple is said to be on the verge of breaking up as reports claim that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are now living apart from each other.

According to a source with In Touch magazine (via Hollywoodlife), the Hollywood legends have "been living separate lives" for over a year while dealing with marriage problems. The magazine claims that the couple had "a series of relationship-ending fights" over the Christmas holidays and that the "Ocean's Eleven" actor allegedly "feels like she doesn't listen" and the insider said that the 52-year-old has "given up."

The two met on the set of 2005's "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" and it was reported that a romance bloomed offscreen between the pair, which is said to have ended Pitt's marriage to Jennifer Aniston at the time. The pair has three biological children together, Shiloh, 9, twins Vivienne and Knox, 7, and three adopted children Maddox, 14, Pax, 12, and Zahara, 11. Jolie and Pitt tied the knot in August 2014.

The source claims that their respective projects have left them with little to no time at all for their relationship.

"Dedicating their lives to film work, human rights and their children have left them little time for each other," the insider said, adding that when they do spend time together, they end up "squabbling" or passing the time in "frozen silence."

In a previous interview with The Telegraph while promoting their film "By the Sea," Jolie revealed that they spent their honeymoon while working on the film, which is about a depressed former dancer and her alcoholic novelist's husband's marriage crisis.

While many speculated that the film might be echoing their real-life problems, Jolie said that the story is in no way autobiographical, but did admit that they would fight just like any other couple.

"We have days when we drive each other mad and want space, but the problems in the movie aren't our specific problems," she clarified.
