After the disastrous Brangelina split that happened a couple of years ago, it seems Brad Pitt is building back bridges with another ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, as the two have reportedly spoken to each other again after so many years.

Fans of both who are shipping the two again need to curb their excitement, however, since this does not mean that a romantic liaison between the two is possible again. This much was announced by sources close to the former husband and wife, who were reportedly been keeping in touch but have nothing going on with each other — meaning they will likely stay as friends only at the moment.

Moreover, the two's communication with each other was never romantic and neither were they about each other's marriages or relationships. Still, one source went out of his/her way and claimed that anything could happen between the two, so the possibility of them rekindling their relationship is still there.

It can also be recalled that Aniston recently split with husband Justin Theroux, and it remains to be seen whether Pitt is aware that the two had a rocky relationship. It is worth noting that both divorces are still not final and could still be overturned, though it seems that Aniston's split with Theroux is quite peaceful as evident in how they divided their properties.

Right now, fans should stop holding their breaths for a renewed "Bradifer" since the two are just probably catching up on what happened to each other with no intentions of romance.

For those unfamiliar with the ex-couple, Bradifer (Brad + Jennifer) became quite a celebrated relationship icon back in the early 2000s. The marriage lasted from 2000 to 2005 after which Aniston filed for divorce due to "irreconcilable differences." Shortly after this, Pitt was spotted with "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" co-star Angelina Jolie, and the two eventually became an official couple and even got married in 2012.
