Pop culture might have Canadian singer Justin Bieber for its icon, but the Christian community also has a singer of equal talent and charisma: Briana Babineaux, more commonly known as Bri.

Just like Bieber, her career was launched thanks to the video sharing website YouTube, after her friends posted a video of her singing a worship tune called "Make Me Over" by Tonex. People were so impressed by her talent that the video garnered over a million hits. Within just one month, she already had a recording contract.

In fact, people from the faith community refer to Bri as the "Justin Bieber of Gospel music."

She recently released her new #1 single called "I'll Be the One," as well as her follow-up single "Holy Spirit," which made it to the top 10 Christian charts.

The young girl feels overwhelmed by people's reception towards her music, and she cannot believe just how much God has blessed her.

"I'm extremely excited and I give all honour and praises to God, because I know that he's the one who has made all this possible. But I'm very excited about everything that has happened so far because sometimes this all seems surreal," she said.

There are already a lot of talented Christian artists who have come up with amazing albums and songs, but Bri believes there's still something that her album can offer people.

"I think this live album will encourage other Christians to let them know that you're not alone and everyone goes through things from the least to great and I think it will also allow them to make a decision if they want to stay in that situation or if they will allow God to have total access with them," she said. "You know, for the non-believers this album will just give them insight on who God really is and the love he has for us."
