The first season of "Bringing Up Bates" is already nearing its end, and UP TV announced Wednesday that the reality show has been renewed for a second season. According to UP TV general manager and executive vice president Amy Winter, the show became a major success story for the network. 

"The series has grown steadily each week as more and more viewers, along with other family members, tune in to see the daily lifestyle of this uncommon, unimaginable, ever expanding, but totally relatable, loving family," Winter said. 

The network executive also mentioned that the reality show that follows the lives of the big Bates family from South Carolina manages to provide the right entertainment that is applicable to all members of the family, which means that the show is perfect for the network. 

The Bates family became popular after they were featured on some of the episodes of "19 Kids and Counting" from TLC, which stars their friends, the Duggars of Arkansas. 

"Bringing Up Bates" is a wholesome reality show featuring married couple Gil and Kelly Bates from Lake City, Tennessee, as well as their 19 children composed of Zach (aged 26), Michaella (aged 25), Erin Elise (aged 23), William Lawson (aged 22), Kenneth Nathaniel (aged 21), Alyssa Joy (aged 20), Tori Layne (aged 19), Trace Whitfield (aged 18), Carlin Brianne (aged 16), Josie Kellyn (aged 15), Katie Grace (aged 14), Jackson Ezekiel (aged 13), Warden Justice (aged 11), Isaiah Courage (aged 10), Addallee Hope (aged 9), Ellie Bridget (aged 7), Callie-Anna Rose (aged 5), Judson Wyatt (aged 4), and Jeb Colton (aged 3). 

"Bringing Up Bates" season 2 is expected to be aired on UP starting June this year. 

Before the second season begins, the Bates family will reveal the gender of Erin's first child with husband Chad Paine in the next episode of the show.

In the show, Erin plans to find out the gender of her baby with the rest of her big family during their Thanksgiving dinner. She asks her doctor to write the gender on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope that she will open in front of them. But can Erin contain all her excitement until the right time arrives? 

The second to the last episode of "Bringing Up Bates" will air on Thursday, March 5.
