Brock Lesnar next fight news: Who will step up to face the Beast?

Brock Lesnar is expected to return to the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on Dec. 19 at a live event at the Forum in Inglewood, California, although it isn't clear yet whom the Beast will be taking on.

Cesaro could be an option courtesy of Ric Flair. However, all hopes of that happening disappear, with reports that Cesaro has been taken out with a shoulder injury. The Swiss Superman will be out for about four to six months, meaning the WWE may need to look for someone else.

There is no one seemingly suited right now, although Roman Reigns could be an option seeing how he just won and then lost the WWE title to Sheamus via Money in the Bank cash-in.

The next WWE pay-per-view (PPV) is WWE TLC set for Dec. 13 and it will likely feature Sheamus and Reigns in a main event world heavyweight title match. Although that has yet to be made official, it could pretty well be the case as the Big Dog tries to regain his title, something he held for barely an hour.

Now, assuming that Reigns wrests the title from Sheamus, the Beast could re-appear at some point and feast his eyes on the WWE title from there.

Recall that at Wrestlemania 31, both faced off but ended up empty-handed with Seth Rollins cashing in at the time.

All these are possible scenarios so it would be wise to take such with a grain of salt. Lesnar's return will take place during a live event that will not be covered by the WWE network so the possibility of the Beast making a run for the WWE title may not happen until he does appear on the regular shows.

Aside from the Dec. 19 appearance, Lesnar is also scheduled to be at another live event that will be held at the Toyota Center in Houston on Jan. 8, 2016.

While Lesnar has been heavily advertised, the big question is on who will be his next opponent and if it will be the new storyline feud for the Beast Incarnate.
