The Brooklyn Nets had a scare last Saturday in their seventh consecutive defeat this season suffered against the Milwaukee Bucks as center Brook Lopez left the game in the third quarter after injuring his right foot.

In the past two seasons, Lopez was plagued by a right foot woe which made him miss games; that is why Saturday's injury became a thing to worry about for the team and its fans.

But reports said the X-ray results came back negative and there is no longer a need for further tests.

Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reported that according to a league source, Lopez is expected to be back in action when they take on the Houston Rockets this Wednesday.

Before leaving the game against Milwaukee, the 27-year-old played 29 minutes, tallying 20 points, four rebounds, one assist and two blocks.

For the season, Lopez is averaging 20.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.7 blocks in 33.1 minutes of action per contest.

The one-time All-Star is having a great start to his year, already besting his numbers in the previous season when he averaged 17.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 72 games played, including 44 starts.

Because of his contributions through the years, Brooklyn signed Lopez to a three-year extension contract worth $60 million during the offseason.

Lopez is showing so far that the extension deal he signed was worth it for the Nets. Unfortunately, he is not getting enough help from his teammates as they have yet to garner their first win of the season.

The Nets and Lopez continue the search for their first victory when they visit the Rockets at the Toyota Center this Wednesday, with the game being the second of a four-game road trip.

Following the game against Houston, the Nets will play against the Sacramento Kings and defending champions the Golden State Warriors before heading back home to take on the Atlanta Hawks.
