The squad is prepping up for the yearly Halloween heist competition in the upcoming episode of the Fox series "Brooklyn Nine-Nine."

In "Halloween Part III," TV Guide reports that Capt. Holt (Andre Braugher) and Jake (Andy Samberg) will lead the two teams for the annual get-together. Who will claim the title of "amazing detective slash genius?" This batch is reportedly a tiebreaker, with both leaders determined to give their all. Viewers can expect a battle of male egos, as the more experienced Holt will surely showcase some brilliant strategy. Jake, for his part, will make sure his crew will not be left behind.

Last episode, Jake enlisted Holt's help to investigate a serial killer without raising suspicions. "The Oolong Slayer" has been off the grid for five years, until he decided to return and cause chaos once again. Jake wanted to handle the case quietly, so he decided to seek his old captain's assistance. Although the pair wanted to be discreet, Gina (Chelsea Peretti) overheard them due to the "amazing acoustics" in the men's bathroom.

The three of them then set out to catch the culprit. When Jake succeeded in cracking the case, he used this as a leverage to bypass Wuntch (Kyra Sedgwick) and get Holt back into his old position as the captain of the Nine-Nine. Meanwhile, the Vulture (Dean Winters) tested Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) and Amy's (Melissa Fumero) patience last episode when he commissioned them to organize his birthday party. Rosa complained that he only gave them the job because they were women.

They ultimately got the better of him, however, when they succeeded in ruining his bash. It turned out that the Vulture was part of the band, but as expected, he was not so good musically. When Rosa and Amy suggested that he hire his own band to provide entertainment for the party, he pompously agreed. The result was nothing less than disastrous.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" airs Sundays at 8:30 p.m. EST on Fox.
