The Buffalo Bills are looking to improve their roster this offseason and added two more players signing veteran defensive tackle Red Bryant and undrafted running back Cierre Wood.

Bryant will be entering his eighth season since being selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round of the 2008 National Football League (NFL) Draft.

He spent his first six seasons with the Seahawks and was part of the squad that won the franchise's first championship in Super Bowl XLVIII in 2013.

Bryant was released by Seattle following the 2013 season and was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars to a four-year contract before the 2014 season.

The 31-year-old played and started in all 16 regular season games for the Jaguars, tallying 23 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble.

Bryant was released by Jacksonville last March and, according to ESPN, his release was before a $500,000 roster bonus was due.

ESPN also reported that the former Texas A&M defensive tackle was signed to add depth to the Bills' defense and because of the suspension of star defensive tackle Marcell Dareus.

Dareus is suspended without pay for the Bills' season opener against the Indianapolis Colts at the Ralph Wilson Stadium because of violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Along with the addition of Bryant, the Bills also addressed another roster issue by signing a running back in Wood who last played in the 2013 season for the Houston Texans.

The Bills are running thin at the position because of injuries suffered this offseason, with the latest being LeSean McCoy. The running back hurt his left hamstring during their practice last Tuesday, although he is expected to be fine and head coach Rex Ryan is optimistic he will be playing in Week 1.

Wood sat out the entire 2014 season when the Texans released him last August, but he played in three games and had three carries for nine yards in his 2013 stint with the team.
