NFL Thursday Night Football takes place tonight with a big game between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets in Week 10 of the NFL 2015 regular season. Both teams will be desperate to gain the win tonight as their seasons are hanging in the balance. The game has a scheduled start time of 8.25 p.m. ET and takes place from the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Tonight's game has an added ingredient and interest point; it will be the first time that Rex Ryan will face the Jets since they fired him last season. He has tried to play down the relevance of that fact, but the media attention surrounding him leading up to this game has ensured that it is one of the underlying storylines of today's game.

The Bills will be hoping to build on their win last weekend when they snapped their two game losing streak to move to 4-4 with a 33-17 win over the Miami Dolphins.

If they lose again today then it would undermine the good work they put on against the Dolphins, but Ryan has said that it doesn't matter that the team he is facing are the Jets. Ryan simply responded to today's game: "It's just another game."

There will be mixed feelings about Ryan among the Jets fans. He led New York to two Playoff appearances in his first two years, but it was all downhill from there as he failed to pull off a winning record in his last four seasons in charge. Last season he was fired after leading the Jets to a lowly 4-12.

Even though it is expected that many New York fans may get on Ryan's back, Jets coach Todd Bowles has also acknowledged that some at the team still remain close to the team's ex-coach, and that it would be fine for them to say hi, as long as once the game begins they get down to business. Bowles said: "Coaches and players change teams all the time. The ones that are close to him, I'm sure they'll give him a hug before the game, shoot the bull a little bit. When the game starts, it'll be us against them."

The New York Jets come into today's game on 5-3 but have lost their last three games to the Bills - interesting all of those losses coming with Rex Ryan at the helm at the Jets.

Ryan will hope the Bills can win again today, and if they do then it will be the first time this season that Buffalo will have won two straight games.

Ryan has said, "It's going to be a passionate game. It's going to be an exciting game, a whatever-type game, but not for the reasons that you may be thinking. It has nothing to do with me or anybody else. That's the reality of it."
