'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' DLC release date: character models, Specialist Bribes unlocked in new expansion
Developer Treyarch has rolled out a new update to its latest franchise installment, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," unlocking new content for players.
In an announcement posted on its blog, the developer revealed that new characters models are now available for some of the Specialists in the field of "Black Ops 3." However, the releases for the new models are on a staggered basis, with the Spectre and Firebreak characters receiving their new character models soon. Meanwhile, new models are already available for some of the players in the "Black Ops 3" character roster.
To celebrate the new character models, Treyarch also announces a special, weekly in-game event dubbed as "Specialist Bribes." For the next three weeks, players will get a chance to own one Specialist-themed item from the daily supply drops in the Black Market. Each "Specialist Bribe" will change its in-game item every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. For the first week, the developer said that "The Specialist Bribes will appear in the order in which they're found in-game, which means that we'll kick things off with Ruin, Outrider, and Prophet this week."
"Specialist Bribes" also guarantee that the themed item will be spawned randomly, "including the new character models, new Themes, new Taunts and Gestures, as well as gear from all Black Market content releases to date."
It is also revealed that "Specialist Bribes" are only available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game.
Meanwhile, a new update has also rolled out to the PS4 version of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." However, the update itself, patch 1.12, only introduces a general hotfix for the security updates on the multiplayer feature for the PS4 version. It is unclear though, if one of the tweaks for the said update is in preparation for the rumored new DLC coming out soon.
