The launch of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" earlier this year was followed by a new DLC pack in each subsequent month. This past May the game received the new "Eclipse" DLC and fans speculate when DLC 3 would finally launch. According to Gotta Be Mobile, Activision and Treyarch may be launching DLC 3 during or after the E3.

The Electronic Entertainment Expo will run from June 14 to June 16. Several major game studios will be present to showcase upcoming games and allow gamers to experience several of their titles through playable demos. It is expected that Activision will unveil or even release DLC 3 at this time.

According to the report, Activision has already released a short teaser that focuses primarily on blood vials and this has gotten the gaming community to speculate that DLC 3 will focus on a new zombie campaign. This means the story campaign will focus on the zombie mode of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" while introducing zombie-centric maps and weapons.

Video Games Blogger notes that Activision is more likely going to reveal the new DLC during E3 but not release it. Instead, DLC 3 is expected to lauch days after. The report speculates that DLC 3 may be released for the PS4 by June 21, with the PC and Xbox One release to follow a month after.

The report also points out that DLC 4 will follow in late July, with the Xbox One and PC getting the last DLC in August. This will be the last DLC for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" as Activision then switches their marketing effort towards their newest title, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare."

Yibada reports that the dates have not yet been verified and are based on leaked information. Fans of the franchise should take the June 21 release date as pure speculation until Activision confirms the date during or after the E3.
