'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' DLC 3 release date: New update is live; next DLC to follow E3?

Developer Treyarch has just revealed that starting June 14, a new update will be released for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3."

According to Yibada, publisher Activision will most likely announce major details about the new DLC pack at the ongoing  E3 2016. Meanwhile, the most possible release period for the third DLC pack after the "Awakening" and "Eclipse" expansions will be after the E3.

The industry follower predicts that the most likely dates that the next DLC will launch is on June 21 for the PlayStation 4. It will then enjoy a month-long exclusivity on the Sony console and then be released on the Xbox One and PC on July 21.

Meanwhile, PlayStation Lifestyle reports that a new update is now live for "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." The massive update rolled out as a 1.9GB download and is available for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. The new update introduces a number of tweaks and improvements on the gameplay and system of the game, as well as adjustments to in-game features like characters, skills, and weapons rebalancing.

A new trailer has also dropped for the new update, highlighting two new modes for players. The new update 1.11 drops the Weekly and Daily Contracts playlist, additional challenges for players. In Daily Contracts, players will need to complete a single challenge before the next day rolls out a new mission, with Cryptokey as rewards. Meanwhile, Weekly Contracts cycles from Monday to Monday every week at 10 a.m. PT, where there are two separate challenges that players will need to successfully complete. Rewards include Cryptokeys and a special Mercenary Contract that unlocks Blackjack, the Black Market vendor, as a playable character.
