"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" has received several DLCs following its launch, and the "Salvation" DLC will be the last, as the publishers will be focusing on "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare." The DLC launched on the PlayStation 4 back in September, and it has now been confirmed that it is set to be released for the Xbox One and PC this Oct. 6.

"Salvation" will introduce four new multiplayer maps called Citadel, Rapture, Outlaw, and Micro. Outlaw is based on the Standoff map seen in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2," while the Rapture map is a futuristic steampunk version of the Outskirts map seen in "Call of Duty: World at War."

Citadel is a brand new map which is designed for close quarter combat in an aged medieval castle. Micro, on the other hand, is a much larger setting based on a picnic ground which provides a lot of cover. Both maps are new and not remakes of older maps used in previous games in the series.

As revealed on the official website, this DLC is also going to conclude the long-running Zombies story mode. It will see Nikolai, Richtofen, Takeo, and Dempsey take on Doctor Monty and attempt to redeem their souls after going through hordes and hordes of undead. All loose ends are set to be tied together in this final DLC.

The "Salvation" DLC will be free for those who have purchased the Season Pass of the game. Those who have not can purchase the DLC on its own for $14.99. It is important to note that this DLC is only for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC ports. It is not available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 ports of the game.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Salvation" will officially end the series as the franchise moves forward with "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," which is set to roll out for PC, Xbox One, and the PS4 this November.
