After numerous rumors about the new installment in the "Black Ops" series made the rounds, the news about "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" has finally been confirmed. Game developer Treyarch announced via a teaser video last week that the third game in the "Call of Duty" sub-series will be coming out soon.

According to the game description released by Treyarch, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 deploys players into a dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldier emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare."

The description also mentioned that "Black Ops 3" will have three exclusive game modes, including Campaign, Multiplayer, as well as Zombies. These modes will reportedly offer the most extensive and most ambitious "Call of Duty" game ever created.

Meanwhile, a representative from game publisher Activision revealed that Treyarch has been busy working on the new "Black Ops" game for the last three years, and the upcoming installment will be the first one that will come out for the next-gen consoles.

However, the game developer is still silent about the major details of "Black Ops 3's" gameplay and other important plot information. Rumors claim that it will feature cybernetics within the game, which will allow players to slide and race while in the middle of the combat. Also, a leaked box art of the game gives the impression that technology will play an important role in the new "Black Ops" title.

"Black Ops 3" will follow the 2012-released "Black Ops 2," which sold more than 24 million copies worldwide during the first year of its release.

Activision and Treyarch are expected to reveal more information about "Black Ops 3" during its scheduled worldwide reveal on April 26.
