Game developer Treyarch will finally unveil the highly-anticipated Zombies mode of "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" this week at the 2015 San Diego Comic-Con.

IGN revealed that Zombies mode director and writer Jason Blundell will be the one to spearhead the panel on the first day of the annual multi-genre entertainment convention. He will reportedly introduce the "mind-bending tale of the undead" during the game studio's scheduled event on Thursday, July 9, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Room 6BCF.

Those who will attend the panel will see the mode's "star-studded" voice cast, and they will also get the Comic-Con exclusive Zombies memorabilia.

Fans of the game who will attend this year's SDCC could also look forward to the exciting "Black Ops III: Zombies" Escape Room Challenge, wherein participants must work together to solve all the clues to escape the simulated room before the time limit.

Anyone 18 years old and above can join the Escape Room Challenge, even if they do not have the SDCC 2015 badge. They just have to head over to 450 Second Ave in San Diego, CA, from 2 to 10 p.m. PT on Thursday, and from 12 to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The Zombies mode was first introduced in "Call of Duty: World at War" back in 2008, and reappeared in the original "Call of Duty: Black Ops" and its sequel "Call of Duty: Black Ops II." This is why it is not surprising to see the popular mode in the third installment in the "CoD: Black Ops" series.

Back in April, it was reported that the Zombies mode will return with a brand-new story separate from the main game. It will also have new plot and multiplayer modes that will use the XP progression system.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops III" will reportedly come out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on Nov. 6, and the Zombies mode is expected to be released at a later date.
