"Call the Midwife" Season 4 has been a depressing ride so far. Fans are still waiting to see what is actually the whole point of the fourth season, because the stories are just moving too slow. Could this new episode be the push this season needs?

Season 4 Episode 4 spoilers reveal that the episode will have its ups and downs. According to CarterMatt, Sister Monica Joan will do some storytelling with the children and this will be about Anne Boleyn. The author opined that telling a story like this to the kids won't really do any good. And surely, the fans won't find any value in it too.

However, after that, things may just start to pick up. Trixie is very confused about her relationship with Tom, which starts to affect her decision to plan the wedding and actually get married. Although this episode isn't as drama-heavy as the previous episodes, the emotional low is still obvious within the characters. Trixie and Tom are perfect examples.

Trixie and Tom are newly engaged. It is expected that the two should be very excited about planning for their wedding and living the rest of their lives together. However, relationship issues start to affect them right after they got engaged.

Furthermore, Episode 4 will show Sister Winifred busy with something else, while the midwives continue to be hard at work. The official synopsis reads:

"The midwives face one of their busiest nights to date, whilst Sister Winifred concentrates her efforts on the prostitutes of Poplar. Elsewhere, cracks start to appear in Trixie and Tom Hereward's relationship."

If there's one character in "Call the Midwife" that the fans are rooting for, it's Trixie. Trixie has never achieved the happiness she deserves, compared to the fellow midwives in the show. Hopefully, Trixie and Tom's relationship issues get resolved eventually.
