Candace Cameron Bure gushes over daughter Natasha's 'The Voice' audition

Candace Cameron Bure's daughter Natasha is definitely following her mother's footsteps to stardom.

The "Fuller House" star has been very secretive about her daughter's audition for the singing competition "The Voice," but 18-year-old Natasha finally posted about it on her Instagram account (@natashabure). The teenager posted a photo with the words "I auditioned" on top of "The Voice" logo and wrote, "Would ya look at that ;) Tune in to @nbcthevoice starting September 19th to see if I made a team!"

After Natasha made that announcement, Bure finally caved in and posted the same photo on her Instagram account (@candacecbure). "It's true! My daughter@natashabure auditioned for The Voice! Tune in September 19th to see if she made a team. #ProudMama @nbcthevoice," she wrote.

Should Natasha pass the auditions this season, she could choose among the teams of either Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Miley Cyrus or Alicia Keys.

Bure earlier told ET Online that she is very proud of her daughter's singing talent, regardless of her reported auditioning for "The Voice."

"I can't confirm that, but you'll have to tune in to find out if that's true or not true," the actress teased. "She sang on 'The View' for my 40th birthday and I'm very proud of her."

Whatever happens to Natasha's singing career, what's important for Bure is that she will not buy into media culture's idealisation of body types, because this would make her develop an unhealthy body image. "I think that we look at images all day long, so people can certainly be affected by them," she said.

She and her husband, former hockey player Valeri Bure, have tried their best to teach daughter Natasha and sons Lev and Maksim that people are "all uniquely created, and not all of us is the same, and that's something to be celebrated."

"The Voice" will premiere on Monday, Sept. 10 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
