'Captain America 3' movie update: Robert Downey Jr. says it will be 'huge'

Robert Downey Jr. has been busy promoting his new movie "The Judge." But Yahoo Senior U.K. writer Tom Butler just couldn't resist asking him questions about "Iron Man" and "Captain America 3." While Downey surely didn't want to spoil anything, his answers were short and sweet.

The question started when Butler referenced Jeff Bridges on his role in "Iron Man 1," as Bridges described it as making a big student film. Downey shared his sentiments about the first movie, too.

"At the time we were just trying to launch something that didn't have that great a shot of being a hit," Downey said. "And now, looking back, and the way things have happened with Marvel, it was just the beginning of this big business plan."

Butler then continued to ask him about "Captain America 3" but Downey didn't budge. At first, he said that he might just regret saying something so he won't. And then follows it up with, "It's going to be huge...whatever it is," with a cheeky smirk.

Truth be told, if rumors are true that Iron Man will play a major role in "Captain America 3," it's definitely going to be a huge movie. Two major Marvel superheroes in one movie is always a massive undertaking, which Marvel will surely pull off.

Earlier this year, Downey said that there will be no "Iron-Man 4" but when he had a chat with David Letterman, he said, "I'm going to do other stuff with Marvel. I'm still going to be involved with Marvel and there's gonna be plenty of fun stuff to happen."

"Captain America 3" just might be one of those "stuff" Downey was referring to.

According to recent reports, "Captain America 3" will adapt the comic book story of the "Civil War" which ran back in 2006-2007. It will pit Iron Man and Captain America against each other as they have opposing views about the Superhero Registration Act. Communities of superheroes will choose their sides and it will end in a nasty battle that may lead to The Captain's death.

"Captain America 3" is slated for release on May 6, 2016.
