Captain America Civil War release date, cast rumors: More heroes than Avengers 2?

Marvel Studios

Avengers: Age of Ultron did come out with a lot of new Marvel superheroes, the number of which is expected to grow heading into Avengers: Infinity Wars.

Though there is no sequence on who and when they would appear, everyone knows for a fact that they will be a lot.

For starters, the heroes that will be seen could very well star in Captain America 3: Civil War which hits theaters on May 16, 2016.

Aside from Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Captain America 3 is looking a lot like another Avengers movie.

Sans Thor (Chris Hemsworth), the whole Avengers team has been practically cast.

Appearing are Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) will be around and both will be torn between Cap and Starks. The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) could be making an appearance though it remains to be confirmed.

That was for the original Avengers team. As for the new recruits, Scarlett Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), the Vision (Paul Bettany), War Machine (Don Cheadle), and Falcon (Anthony Mackie) will also be around.

So far, that is quite a cast to deal with, prepping folks for quite a movie to look forward to. Though the comic version did star a lot of heroes, the list of characters appearing seems to be meager at this point.

Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) will reportedly be returning as well while the new heroes in the mix are Black Panther, Ant Man (Paul Rudd) and Spiderman.

In all those are 13 characters that could come out, more than what the Avengers: Age of Ultron showcased.

Could there be more? We shall see in May, 2016.

For those who are unaware, Captain America and Iron Man will take different stands when the government passes an act to regulate superhuman activity. Starks will side with the government while Cap is on the other side.

Who will side with who?
