"Captain Marvel" isn't going to be making an appearance in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and her solo film isn't due until Nov. 2, 2018, but Marvel and Disney are already in the process of developing the movie. There are reports that the writers from Pixar's "Inside Out" and Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy" are being tapped for the project.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Marvel is currently working on negotiations to hire screenwriters Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve. Perlman received a lot of praise for her writing credit with the James Gunn-directed "Guardians of the Galaxy" while Meg LeFauve is recently coming off her work on "Inside Out," a film that is tracking a lot of interest from fans and critics alike.

As THR points out, the two are not a writing duo but are being made into one for "Captain Marvel." Executive Producer Kevin Feige was reportedly impressed with their individual bodies of work and decided that putting them together would lead to spectacular results.

However, Cinema Blend points out that the work done by Perlman and LeFauve may not even be used. Marvel is no stranger to working with people for months and years, such as Edgar Wright with "Ant-Man," only to take them off the project when the direction isn't going the way they want it.

Very few details surrounding "Captain Marvel" has been released, but it is known that the film will focus on Carol Danvers who gains superpowers after her DNA is fused with that of an alien race. She will gain the powers of flight, energy projection, and super strength.

It was previously rumored that she would be making an appearance in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" but Kevin Feige went on to explain on Badass Digest that this was only in one of the early drafts of the film. Her role was later filled in by Scarlet Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen.

At the moment, no casting has yet been confirmed for the project.
