Japanese animated series "Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card" recently premiered after it last aired in 2000. Its first episode excites fans on what happens next in the anime, which follows the life of Sakura Kinomoto.

The premiere episode introduces the problem with Sakura's Clow Cards, which she gathered during the first season. It continues where "Cardcaptor Sakura" left off when Sakura was just 10 years old. This time, it features Sakura in junior high school alongside her friends and her boyfriend Syaoran. Sakura had a prophetic dream wherein a cloaked figure appeared and all her cards turned blank.

Because all of her cards are clear, they became powerless. This is where her quest begins as she finds out what is wrong with her cards. Sakura, along with her guardians Cerberus and protector Yue, will discover the transparent cards by using a stronger mystical key.

In her dream, the cloaked figure threatens her by shattering her cards. It also fires the cards to Sakura. In her second dream, the hooded figure calls a giant dragon that attacks Sakura. The card shards form together to create a single gem, which is a new key. When she wakes up, she discovers that her cards are all clear like what happened in her dream.

The new key reveals a shiny staff that allows her to capture the clear cards. This will give Sakura the power to get her first clear card, Gale. Aside from the new key, she also needs to use a new incantation saying, "Force without master, heed the call of my Staff of Dreams and become my power! Release!" But Sakura's new power will lead her to more challenges and a darker future.

"Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card" is based on a Japanese shojo manga series that is written and illustrated by the manga group Clamp. Its manga version was serialized in July 2016, while the second season of the anime first aired on Jan. 7. It is a sequel to the anime and manga "Cardcaptor Sakura."
