Care for the Family course to help break credit crunch gloom for young people

With the threat of a UK financial crisis hitting the news, doom and gloom for first time buyers and redundancies possible in the credit crunch, young adults may feel there is not much good news for them.

That is not the message, however, at the new course from Care for the Family, 'Better than Alright', a special event to be held in Nottingham, Reading and Cardiff. Cash, confidence and careers will be the topic of conversation at the event targeted at those in their 20s and 30s.

Better than Alright is a new event from 'Looking at Life', part of Care for the Family. Emma Coffey, who will be hosting the evening, wants to encourage all those who are chasing their dreams and all those who are weighed down by the pressures of everyday life.

"I've had my fair share of confidence worries, career stresses and anxieties about money and debt," said Ms Coffey. "Life is tough, and along with hopes and dreams come the challenges of choices and important decisions. This event is for all those who want to worry less and realise their potential."

The evening will feature international motivational speaker David Oliver and live music from singer songwriter Julia Harris. Issues looked at will include how to let confidence work for you, how to fulfil your career potential and stay in control of your finances.

Mr Oliver says: "I'm delighted to be involved with Better than Alright. Spending an evening together, to reflect on things that matter, can reap huge life-long benefits. In short: it is possible to live a life that is better than alright."
