Mike Fisher has responded to rumors claiming his marriage with Carrie Underwood is on the rocks.

Fisher and his wife of eight years are not headed to splitsville, the National Hockey League (NHL) star confirmed on Instagram Wednesday. Earlier this week, Fisher posted a photo of a bible scripture, Psalm 139: 23–24, which says, "Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting."

A fan posted a comment telling the hockey player to "Ignore the media! Hold tight to each other," to which Fisher replied, "That's not media. We've never been better. Thanks."

The Canadian athlete had just announced that he is coming out of retirement and joining the Nashville Predators again. To show her support, the "American Idol" alum took to social media and posted about her husband's big NHL comeback.

"This is happening!" the Grammy winner shared to her followers. "Fish is back! So proud of you, baby! We want the cup!!!"

Fisher and the country singer tied the knot in 2010. They welcomed son Isaiah Michael in March 2015. The 37-year-old played for the Predators from 2011 until 2017. He became the team's captain in 2016 but decided to retire a year later.

Underwood made headlines three months ago after sustaining multiple injuries from a fall in her Nashville home last year. The songstress told her fans that she might look different after having 40 stitches in her face because of the Nov. 2017 accident.

To date, the "Before He Cheats" hitmaker still has not shown a latest photo of her face in any of her social media profiles. Her last photo on Instagram was taken a week ago while she was working out with her son. Although Underwood was in the snap, she has yet to reveal full images of her face.
