Although the "hot" and the "in" vehicles for 2015 are small SUVs, a thriving segment is also being pursued by car makers – that of the four-door sedan. These cars are a mainstay in the auto industry, and the good news is that leading brands are launching new models in 2016.  

The Cadillac CT6 is seen to be the new flagship sedan in the Cadillac line-up. It is longer than the Cadillac CTS by six inches. What makes it really special is that it gives the brand a loud statement because it is nine inches longer than its major competitor, the BMW 5. The top engine choice for the CT6 is a 3.0 liter twin turbo V6 that can provide a whopping 400 horsepower. 

The CT6 is also 200 pounds lighter than the CTS even if it is a bigger car, thanks to heavy use of sturdy aluminum in its construction. Buyers can opt to buy into the CT6 Active Chassis System which comes equipped with rear wheel steering and Magnetic Ride Control damper, giving passengers a smoother and more stable ride.

Meanwhile, a new Civic will also be launched next year. The good news is that Honda did not just tweak the details of their bestselling car but also actually redesigned the whole vehicle from scratch. The result is the best-looking Civic in the company's history with its chiseled, aggressive look. It is also longer and wider than its predecessor with curvier front fenders. It has a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission (a CVT automatic is optional). This time, though, Honda will not be offering a hybrid option for the new Civic.

The all-new design will boast a longer wheel base than its predecessor, which offers drivers a more spacious cabin.
