Caskett shippers should stop worrying about their favorite TV couple. The "Castle" showrunners have revealed that the famed novelist and his detective wife will not stay separated for long in season 8.

Co-showrunner Alexi Hawley revealed during a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter that the unexpected twist in the lives of mystery writer Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) and NYPD's street-smart homicide detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic) at the start of "Castle" season 8 is not something to worry about.

According to the showrunner, the time that Castle and Beckett will spend apart will not be for long. "Nobody's getting divorced. They're not splitting up forever," Hawley shared.

The series co-showrunner said that the decision to split up the much-loved couple can give an added depth to their love story.

"This is an obstacle in the way that is going to make them ultimately stronger as a couple once they get through it. It adds drama, it adds comedy, it adds a lot of different layers which, as we go forward, we use to breathe some new life and energy into the show," Hawley shared.

He added that Beckett did not really end their marriage when she asked her husband for some time apart.

Co-showrunner Terrence Paul Winter, meanwhile, said that Beckett is actually doing their relationship a favor because she wants to protect Castle, and the split is not intended to let other men into her life.

But while the couple is still taking time apart from their marriage, Castle and Beckett will still be attached as they work on a new case together in "Castle" season 8 episode 4 titled "What Lies Beneath."

According to the official synopsis, Castle and Beckett will try to solve the murder of a reclusive author who happened to be one of Castle's inspirations. Yet when the estranged husband and wife team investigate, they find out that "truth is stranger than fiction."

"Castle" season 8 episode 4 airs on Monday, Oct. 12, on ABC.
