Someone will try to look for answers and get to the bottom of Rick's car crash, which resulted in holding off his precious wedding. This character is no other than his bride-to-be – Kate Beckett.

In the last episode of season 6, Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) got into a car accident on his way to his wedding with Kate Beckett (Stana Katic). Although Rick survived, the accident put off the marriage of the two.

Show runner David Amman and fellow executive producer Andrew Marlowe spilled some juicy details of what fans should expect next season. They said that Kate will do some investigation on her own to find out who was behind the accident as she thinks that it was planned.

"She's committed to getting to the bottom of what happened with Castle. That's really her focus and her mission. She's going to do that, and she's going to take that as far as she can go to get answers. That's what she's focused on," Amann told Give Me My Remote.

Marlowe further explained that although the first episodes will revolve around the investigation, the whole season will not be all about the case, as it will just take only a few episodes to resolve it.

According to reports, Rick Castle will be fine after the car crash and will recover. The reports further speculated that Bracken and 3XK were behind the fatal car accident.

Meanwhile, he also revealed some spoilers about Castle and Beckett's romance. "We are as committed to their relationship as Castle and Beckett are - they are deeply in love and they have overcome a great many challenges already. So whatever [has happened] is not going to tear them apart. If anything, it will make them stronger," Marlowe siad, according to TV Line.

"Castle" is returning for season 7 picking up where it left off last season and is slated for a September 29, 2014 premiere.
