'Castle' season 8 spoilers: Cruise ship murder reunites Rick and Kate in episode 8 'Mr. & Mrs. Castle'

Rick and Kate will be stranded in a cruise ship in the upcoming episode of "Castle." Castle/ABC

Rick (Nathan Fillion) and Kate (Stana Katic) will find themselves stranded at sea in the upcoming winter finale of the ABC series "Castle."

In "Mr. & Mrs. Castle," CarterMatt reports that husband and wife will once again unite to investigate a murder in one of the luxury cruise ship. A body is found floating at sea and investigation reveals that it is one of the ship entertainers. While Rick and Kate go out to check the boat, they will be mystified to feel it sailing away from its dock. Now, they have to deal with a moving cruise ship and a killer on the loose. Will they be able to get out of this alive?

Rick is certainly looking satisfied with the turn of events, regardless of the danger they are facing. The promo shows him channeling a "Titanic" vibe. He is seen shouting Leonardo Caprio's famous line "I am the king of the world" at the top of his voice, while Kate looks on disbelievingly. For Mr. Castle, the situation feels like an impromptu vacation with his wife. After last episode's intimate encounter, the opportunity to be stranded with his wife could not have come at a better time.

It was the couple's anniversary and Rick prepared a big surprise for Kate. His effort of preparing confetti and balloons was rewarded with a hot make out session from Mrs. Castle. As Rick basked from the success of his plan, he did not realize that things were still not okay on Kate's end. His wife just took a time off from their separation and she still wanted some space between them to think things over.

Rick was devastated, but he still got the courage to tell her that he would not give up. He said that from the moment they met, he has never lost hope and that would not change until she told him otherwise. The upcoming episode will certainly be the turning point in their relationship, as they spend the night stranded in the cruise ship. Will Kate make Rick's winter warm after all?

"Castle" season 8 airs Mondays at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
