The family feud between Olivia (Andie McDowell) and Will (Cameron Bancroft) continues to escalate in the upcoming episode of Hallmark Channel's drama series "Cedar Cove."

Episode 5's title, "Civil War," seems highly appropriate to describe the mounting tension between the siblings. TV Guide reports that the two just cannot reach an agreement regarding the real-estate issue they have been bickering on since the last episodes. It now appears that they are gearing to bring their battle in court.

Meanwhile, Paul Watson (Colin Ferguson) will try to play peacemaker between the judge and her philandering brother. That certainly gets him bonus points for Olivia, who has been experiencing major problems with Jack (Dylan Neal). The news editor's jealousy over the new district attorney has overflowed last episode and confronted Olivia about it.

Jack realized that Olivia's newfound friendship with dashing Paul was not helping their relationship one bit. They have been trying to patch up their problems after the judge refused his invitation to move in with him. It did not help that Paul showed obvious attraction to Olivia, which the latter seemed to enjoy. A blind man could see the connection between them, and Jack reacted as he saw fit.

On a different note, fans of Debbie Macomber's series will be glad to know that episode 3 titled "Something's Gotta Give" garnered 2.1 million viewers, propelling Hallmark Channel as the most watched program for that Saturday. Zap2it reports that "Cedar Cove" made history for the network after bagging the highest rated record among total viewers and households on a Live+3 basis for the time slot 8–9 p.m. This was according to Nielsen ratings of Aug. 1, 2015.

Michelle Vicary, executive vice president of Crown Media Family Networks, was all praise for "Cedar Cove," as well as other Hallmark Channel's shows, and commended their contribution to the network.

"Over the last 4 years, Hallmark Channel's scripted series have become appointment viewing for our audience. The enormous popularity of 'Cedar Cove,' 'Good Witch' and 'When Calls the Heart' and our consistent preeminence on Saturday nights demonstrate the power our brand and the resonance of our storytelling," Vicary said.

"Cedar Cove" airs Saturday at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
