With a lot of players expected to choose between opting in or out from their contracts with their respective teams, one player has made it know that he has no plans of opting out.

Al Jefferson, one of the premiere centers the NBA has to date, will reportedly play out his final year with the Hornets and see which direction the team will be headed after the 2015-16 NBA season. Jefferson will be entering the final year of his contract with the Hornets.

Aside from the Hornets, the 6-foot-10 Jefferson has had stints with the Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Utah Jazz before landing in Charlotte in 2013. He was the 15 overall pick of the Celtics after skipping college to enter the 2014 NBA Draft.

With Jefferson back, the Hornets secure their middle which leaves them to focus on other departments.

Aside from Jefferson, the team owned largely by NBA great Michael Jordan also boasts of Kemba Walker and a bunch of young promising players such as Cody Zeller, Bismack Biyombo and Noah Vonleh among others.

The Hornets finished 11th last season and Jefferson had his bout of injuries which hurt the team badly.

Another player in the Hornets roster is Lance Stephenson. After an impressive stint with the Pacers, Stephenson has been a big disappointment.

Stephenson did have his share of injuries but just the same, the Hornets could consider a trade if the deal on the table comes appealing.

For now, there is no telling what the Hornets plan for their future though there are personnel changes to be expected.

The Hornets will be selecting 9th and 39th in the coming NBA Draft and hopefully they can get a player who can help their cause. Another option is to look into the NBA Free agent market in July though the Hornets have not been linked to big time players as of yet.
