"Charmed" is officially getting a reboot, now that the show has just landed a pilot order at the CW.

"This fierce, funny, feminist reboot of the original series centers on three sisters in a college town who discover they are witches. Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familial bonds, a witch's work is never done," read the official description of the show.

The new take of the reboot means the original plan to for the series to be a kind of a prequel to the original show is now scrapped, as the reboot will be set on the present day. Initially, the CVW announced that the reboot will be set in the 1970's, with a storyline following up to the WB original's events.

Jessica O'Toole and Amy Rardin, writers of the popular series "Jane the Virgin," will also write the script for the reboot, while Ben Silverman, Jennie Urman (also from Jane the Virgin), and director Ben Sterling are set to be the other EP's of the show.

Fans of "Charmed" may be excited about the show's reboot, but one member of the original cast doesn't seem happy with the plans to bring back the series to life. Holly Marie Combs — who played Piper Halliwell for all eight seasons on the original series, took to Twitter to express her disagreement with the new franchise.

"Here's the thing, until you ask us to rewrite it like [executive producer] Brad Kern did weekly don't even think of capitalizing on our hard work. Charmed belongs to the 4 of us, our vast amount of writers, crews and predominantly the fans. FYI you will not fool them by owning a title/stamp. So bye," the actress wrote in her tweet.

She also reacted with the series' new feminist take, as she thinks the original series was feminist as well. Many have reacted and commented about Combs' lack of enthusiasm, and she responded with yet another tweet.

The CW is yet to comment about Combs' stance towards the reboot of the show.
