Secrets of the Carver family will be laid bare in the upcoming episode of ABC Family's drama series "Chasing Life."

In "A Bottle of Secrets," Cartermatt reports that a winter storm will gather April's (Italia Ricci) whole family together. Family games and bonding activities will be planned quickly, but April has a different agenda. Finding herself with a lot of free time, she will decide to investigate something about George (Steven Weber) that has been bothering her for a long time. The good doctor appears to have a secret, and April is curious to find out what it is.

Her poking, however, will ruffle some feathers in the family. What is supposed to be a happy time will quickly turn to "a night of unsettling revelations." April herself will be the focus of the discussion, and she will not like it one bit. Will the secrets that she will uncover push her family apart? What is George hiding? Speaking of George, he and Mae (Tamlyn Tomita) will reportedly try to patch up their relationship. Will the doctor be able to focus on his love life while he has more pressing family matters to attend to?

Last episode, April was still trying to cope up with the untimely death of her husband Leo (Scott Michael Foster). She also discovered that she would inherit a large sum of money from him, after the reading of his last will and testament. Not knowing where to use the money, the young widow decided to use it to make outrageous purchases. In a way, her splurging was her means of getting over her grief, and it appeared to work a little.

What was shocking to the viewers was when April decided to buy ecstasy with her inheritance. But then, she came to realize that what she really needed to do was have a good cry. Sara (Mary Page Keller) and Vanessa (Krysta Rodriguez) were there to comfort her and this reaffirmation that she was not entirely alone helped in her slow recovery.

"Chasing Life" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC Family.
